To the Broken

Hello, friend:

Life can be disappointing. This world promises much but delivers little.

Jesus Christ promises abundant life on earth (John 10:10) and everlasting life in heaven (John 14) for the believer. He delivers on His promises. Jesus never fails.

We are all sinners (Romans 3:23). We come out of the womb disobeying our parents. We are separated from God by our sin (Isaiah 59:2). Although our struggles may seem unusual, the Bible says that all of our temptations are common (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Jesus took our sin upon him on the cross, died in our place (Romans 5:8) and rose again (Matthew 28:6) so that we can live (2 Corinthians 5:21). We will only know enduring peace after we have repented of our sins and put our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23; Philippians 4:7). Christ is coming back in judgment. We must be ready.

Those who have not repented and given their lives to Jesus will suffer everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:41). The lake of fire was intended for Satan and his demons, not for us. He wants each of us to repent, believe in Him and inherit everlasting life (John 3:17; 2 Peter 3:9).

If we confess our sins, he will forgive (1 John 1:9). He makes all things new (2 Corinthians 5:17). He has a new life and purpose waiting for you (Jeremiah 29:11).

God created each of us and knows everything about us down to the number of hairs on our heads (Luke 12:7). Jesus loves you (John 3:16; 1 John 4:19; Romans 5:8). No matter what you have done, you have not gone too far to be forgiven (1 John 1:9). Surrender is the only way out.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” – Matthew 3:2

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23
